I plan on replacing my convertible top on my 03 cabriolet due to wear & tear and some cable issues. I'm considering replacing the current Black top with a RED top. My only hesitancy is the possible issues that a "light" colored top might present.
Those of of you who have RED tops specifically and other light colored tops can you ring in with your experience.
My cab has a black top. Personally i wouldnt want any other color. I think it would be a pain in the butt to keep the light colors clean. Either way, the only reason i am posting is to add the pics below. My cab didnt have a hard top. I drove to south florida to pic up a brand new one but it was in red. Took some pics because for a moment i actually thought it looks niced like that. Then i had it painted seal grey like the reat of the car. Atleast this will give you an idea of a red top car look.
Then i lost my mind and swapped wheels, lowered it and put a turbo decklid on it. Now its all smiles
Odd but I kind of liked the contrast with the red (burgundy) top! MAybe Guards red would have been too much..
I agree !! I like the color combo of the maroon/gray, with some more tasteful maroon on the car to make it look like an on purpose combo, instead of a maroon top is the color I happened to find look, it could be gorgeous !!
