I simply love the look of it. I can say this - adjusting the blade did nothing (not even at a track environment). Getting rid of the taco in place of a BFW, front splitter, and canards made a very large difference.
Short answer - the aero is mainly for sweet, refined, classy, sporty looks.
Im pretty sure the Mk.I Aerokit was FIA homologated for the GT3 and therefore not merely for looks.
I love the aero kit. I think time has been very good to it. That means the sides, rear bumper sides, front and wing. There is an OEM one in Utah for sale for 3500. Could probably be had cheaper.
it is only a cosmetic upgrade and "worth it" can only be answered by the buyer.
^^ Uh... no ^^

^^Ummmm... Yeah^^ This being said, for most if not all street driving/speeds, you're not getting much more than looks...

That may very well be - I can't comment on whether the car behaves differently on track with it or without - I was merely stating that the single adjustment to the wing angle that you CAN make - did not make any difference for me.
I love my GT3 aerokit especially the more aggressive and aero front bumper over the oem one. I did feel that the steering wheel is more stable and planted at higher freeway speed with the GT3 "lower-to-the-ground" front bumper. What I felt with the OEM front bumper at higher speed was that air would rush under the front axle and made my steering wheel more floaty & lighter, therefore less stable, I think... The lower & more aggressive GT3 front bumper eliminate that feeling. I think, others have expressed similar experiences with the GT3 front bumper. As for the side skirts and rear GT winglets on the lower rear bumper, they enhance the car good-look :-) My 2c... Cheers,
What I can tell you is that my friend put a factory taco wing on his 2000, but did not change the front bumper, he says it becomes slightly unstable at speeds greater than the speed limit. If you do this, make sure you do both the front and the back. And I love the look of the factory aero kit, but I might be biased.

I'm a big fan of my factory MKI aerokit, that was a must when I was shopping for my 911 and I couldn't be happier that I waited to find one with it. To me it adds a lot to the look of the car that the non aero cars were lacking.
Really? He says it's in his shop here in town. Fooled me for sure.
Just talked with the seller, in Muncie, IN and he texted me pictures and is getting measurements and weights so I can calculate shipping or decide to drive out and pick it up.
