The aerokit makes the 996.1 the best looking 996 imo, but it ends up looking exactly like a gt3. There's a side of me that loves it and then there's a side of me that thinks its posing to be something it's not.

I just don't like the "Taco"! The rest, I love.

I prefer the Aerokit.
That's why I added it to my 996.2.
My car came with the factory aerokit 996.2 front bumper.
Then after looking for quite some time I found a used Taco, which I had repainted to match my car.
Then I added the 996.2 side skirts when they went on sale for Black Friday at Sunsetparts.com.
I'm not really a fan of the bumper skirts, so I won't add them, if they're even available for the 996.2.

Love my aero kit. The car would be boring without it.

Thank you! Did it require a lot of work to fit in the carrera?

My 996.1 has the aero kit front bumper and side skirts, but stock rear bumper and no spoiler. I love the look personally.

The Cup Car Splitter on my car is Porsche 996-505-986-93-01C

It has to have the letter "C" at the end of the part number MSRP in 2016 was $456.66, I purchased from Gaudin Porsche in Las Vegas, it most likely will come out of a Porsche distribution center.
The shipping is a lot money, they cut me a break on shipping and gave a pretty good discount off MSRP.
I think MSRP now is over $600
It is the softest material, flexible
It is the only splitter with orange covered adhesive tape.
