Any links to that possible group buy?

List of parts and mods is here, with more pics. Side scoops are made out of steel, rear bumper is from 996 GT3RS (Le Mans) Kevlar reinforced carbon fiber by Zimspeed. Vents cut by myself. Engine's power is around 600hp / 800Nm crank, dyno'd and datalogged. There will be some modifications done for this summer.

Default my 996 modern outlaw

After reading this thread I thought I would summarize my 996 outlaw build. It started off when I looked at a 991 and thought how similar they were to my 996 without the indicators. I initially just wanted to put them straight into the steel fenders but was concerned that it if didn't work out I would be looking for new body parts . So i purchased a 997 gt2 body kit and started the install. I had to modify the headlight surrounds of the fender and remake the headlight mounting plate as nothing came close to fitting . Also the lights required rewiring etc so all in all a lot of work to get it to this stage. The rest of the kit fitted quite well and just required a bit of modification . The current wheels on the car were from a 997 turbo and are 19inch . The car is currently undergoing a full respray in Porsche Modern Grey which i think is such an under rated colour . Hope you like it and will post the final finished pics soon. So here is my outlaw Porsche so far . 996 C2 convertible with 991 headlights , 997 gt2 body kit ,997 turbo wheels . Hope you all like it .

Good luck with your car and I hope it turns out to your liking but, IMHO, changing out the 996's headlights for the traditional 911's round/oval headlight appearance does not an outlaw Porsche make...

Welp I'm trying my hand to make an outlaw type car, a lot like a CSR with some flash.

I changed more that the headlights to my 996 its a complete rebuild using 997, 991 and 996 parts but I wouldn't expect Dream Carrera to notice the changes . Its a one of a kind build painted in fashion Grey the only 996 in this colour I have seen so yes its an official outlaw
