so with the IMS bearing deal what year 996 or 997 car is the best bet. I think I was told the Turbo cars don’t have the bearing. If you were going to loyfor one what years? What year did they go to water cooled. I think air cooled would be better.

Excluding race produced cars, the Porsche 986 Boxster that went into production in 1996 was the first water cooled Porsche? Of course, the 996 was the first 911 to be water cooled. Aircooled Porsches are closer to the original Porsche DNA and good luck finding a deal on those... prices have shot through the roof.

The Boxster was the first watercooled flat 6 road car.
But Porsche built watercooled cars for years before the Boxster.
924, 944, 928 were all water cooled.
So they built watercooled road cars way back in 1976.
