Fuse Number for Frunk Light
Anyone happen to know off-hand what the Frunk Light fuse number is? I must have shorted out the fuse when switching out the bulb for a LED unit, Looked on-line along with owmers manual, Bentley and factory workship manual. Could not follow the electical diagram to the fuse box. Thanks in advance.

Yes it is only the passenger side license plate light the driver's side works!

Over the span of several years I have replaced both license plate lamps several times because one or the other didn't work. Seems they take a beating back there. Last time replaced with the Hella type and LED bulbs. Seems like a good combination as they have worked now for several years.

Here is why...the luggage compartment light is controlled by the DME and is also integral with the Central Alarm System. The DME detects by microswitch whether the front lid is open or closed, turns on and off the luggage compartment lamp, and meanwhile the Central Alarm System is monitoring whether the car is locked or open, thereby detecting whether the front lid is open or closed, and setting off the alarm if the car is closed and locked and someone tries to open the front lid. That is why I think it is fuse C3, because that is the Central Alarm System fuse and the power for the frunk light by means of the hood latch microswitches.

Also, you may want to check the orientation of the LED bulb in the frunk. When I changed mine to an LED bulb, the light did not work. After doing a search, I found that the LED bulb may need to be flipped end to end in order to function. That worked for me!

I knew led lights are polarity sensetive. Got lucky doing my rear lights, third brake light and license plate light. Haven't got out to check the fuse yet.
