My guess is that if it could be done easily, it would have been done. A lot of folks would be interested in lowering the temp the fans kick it at.

I think you should consider contacting ECUDoctors to find out about your question(s). They are the experts. Let us know what they say.

There is nothing available for DIY tuning for Porsche. You're on your own.

You can get a computer dump/.bin file off Motronic 5.2.2 from a Galletto...then edit it with a editor like TunerPro, but you will have to make your own .XDF file...there are no .XDF files or any modified .bin files for 5.2.2...or 7.2 or 7.8..You have to be computer whiz to make and .XDF file and a tuner to edit it..

Right, so basically still the same 'system' as M4.4. In the Volvo community this was reverse-engineered using the appropriate DAMOS files. My main enquiry would be if the BIN could be dumped, which apparently is possible? Then all I'd need to find is a DAMOS for M5.2.2 if that's the ecu used in the Porsche. Not sure if that's gonna be hard to find, but after that it'd just be a lot of work to scavenge the BIN for the appropriate tables.

So there is a way then >

Yep here is a dump of a stock 99 3.4 5.2.2 I got with Galletto 1260..I have looked at the code through the 3D scanner of TunerPro and can see the maps, but cannot properly identify them. Someone a lot smart then me will have to define the maps , constants, scales, ect.. good luck and let me know if you come up with anything..

Thanks for that, I have already found a damos probably.. Are you sure that's the entire bin? 16kb seems really.. small. My Volvo had 128kb bins.

Will see what I can get, though!

Well no, I'm not sure it's the full bin file, but it's what the Galletto downloaded and has lots of maps in it...but like you, my 88 TurboCoupe EECIV had a 56kb file...so it's some sort of short file..
