Default Thinking of selling, need opinions on value

So here it is, thinking of taking a year off, loading up a motorcycle and hitting the road to parts unknown. Kind of a dream trip for me, from beautiful British Columbia to as far south in South America as I can make it on a dual sport motorcycle.
Selling off some toys and vehicles to fund this trip, my 996 possibly included. Car details are as follows-

04/98 build date, C2, all original Canadian car, stock except for fister moded mufflers, 133,933km (82000 miles for you yanks).
Been my daily driver summer car (parked usually mid October until the roads clear up April-May) since 2014.

Love the car, not sure if it's worth it to sell or just store it and have it to look forward to upon my return. What would be a decent price I could see if I sold is my question though.

I've had my 99 C2 listed around $20k for quite some time with no luck. Similar mileage and build date. Not sure if it's just the local market or if it's priced too high(I'm too attached to it to drop the price below that...it is a Porsche 911 after all). Fortunately I don't have to sell it, so there's no pressure to drop my price.

I bought a 996 on 12/15/17 for $17.8k from a dealer. 1999 c2 build date of 4//98 also. 68k miles Arctic silver with black interior, 6 speed MT 3 owners, clean carafax and in excellent mechanical and overall condition. There is a thread on this site tracking the purchase price of 996's. Just give this forum a quick search and you will find all the price data you could possibly want. Good luck with sale, your trip sounds awesome

$18,500 would be a good price, but it will take time to sell. If you want to sell quickly, anything in the $17’s would do it I’m sure.

Somebody had compiled a spreadsheet of 996's for sale (or sold?), but I can't seem to find it. Anyone have a link?

Tough market still on the decline for 996 non GT or Tubro cars.

As 997 prices continue to drop the 996 market has yet to see a bottom.

This is hard for me to wrap my head around for 996s as I feel like prices have firmed up recently for non-GT. I don't follow the 997 market at all, but what kind of depreciation are we talking about from last year to now?

In my neck of the woods, 996 asking prices have declined for everything but the C4S and Turbo. 997s have come way down in price as well.

There are hundreds of them for sale as I type. I've followed the market for 1.5 years now. $15-$17K tops for what you describe. Depending on options and or you have something unique that someone just have to have.
Post some pictures and lets see what you have.

Unfortunately, $15k USD, if you want to sell it. Even then it won't be easy.
