its drilling it out each bolt with 2 different sizes and then running the tap up. U just dont want to go too deep but thats not a huge issue. I marked the drill bit and the bolt it about 5mm shirt of the bottom of the hole so u know when u get through it.

just take your time and make sure its clean and clear when done.

i still needed to helicoil 2 holes so u may want to buy that kit before u start.

The jig is just there to help you drill accurately to remove what's left of the bolts (I haven't done this yet, it's observation). If I was to remove these bolts, I'd probably get some studs and use a lot of anti seize compound on both ends.

Super helpful - thank you!

I’m still debating whether I go for it, or take the car to a muffler shop to have the headers installed.

It’s a tough call, because those exhaust manifold bolts are RIGHT THERE..... So easy to access. It looks so tempting.

Man i wouldnt let a muffler guy touch my car with a 39 and a half foot pole. Those guys are bottom of the barrel usually. Have a decent indy do them at a minumum.

Default Ordered a pair

I went to the vivid racing site after following this thread since it started. I am slowly collecting parts to modify intake and exhaust next year. they are sold out on the vivid site but I found them for $585 on the horsepower freaks (or something like that) site. That site is linked to vivid racing and you even send the epa waiver to vivid.

Just an aside that I enjoy the conversational minor diversions into topics like slow cooked meat. Let’s keep some personal character to a site that links people from all over the world who share one common interest but also have other interests.

Since travel is kind of tough right now, being able to talk about almost anything with other enthusiasts is a good substitute. Have reservations at a hotel in the UK in Port Isaac for August and hoping it opens up. Due for my first shot on the 9th.

My wife has been there during the last round of tv filming. Has quite a following on Facebook related to the show and travel there. Looking forward to getting there at some point.
