Joe Toth Splitter
Hi all,
Does anyone here have a Joe Toth splitter on their 996?
Can you share any photos and experience with it - installation, etc?
Has anyone installed one so it can be removed, like say with Dzus fasteners?
Thanks in advance.

Thank you, but Google doesn't answer my questions. There are like 6 pictures online, several of them reused across various places. None of theme are great shots.
I was curious if any fellow RLers have one and would be willing to share photos or pointers.
I've seen Joe's offerings on various forums and his facebook site, and it seems to be well liked (even if he gets a hard time from some people about his parts not being wind tunnel tested).
I've been in touch with Joe, and read lots about his stuff. I have one of his splitters for my 996 on order that will be arriving shortly.
None of the things I've seen address removable mounting. One of his other splitters (2 piece splitter for turbo?) has a removable lip. I'm wondering if anyone has installed a base 996 splitter in a similar fashion. Dzus fasteners seems like the right way to go, but I was curious if anyone had already tried this. If not, I will follow the standard installation instructions.

Thanks.
The standard 996 splitter is a one piece unit and isn't setup with the removable part like the two piece GT2 and GT3 units. Those other units have a vertical piece that mounts to the bumper and a horizontal splitter that is attached to the vertical part with dzus fasteners. For street driving you can run with just the vertical part, and attach the horizontal part when you go to the track. The base 996 unit is one piece and a best I can tell, is just bolted to the underside of the bumper.

Isn't the front bumper on the 996 aerokit the same as the 996 GT3 front bumper? If so, it looks like this one might fit: http://demonspeedmotorsports.com/996...cesplitter.htm
Or are they just similar, not the same?

I asked Joe via Fb if the GT3 1 pcs would fit the C2 and he said no. All the research I found showed the 1 pc C2 on a MKI. I have a MKII. I'd like to know if the single MKI will work on a MKII as well.
