YOWSERS! I think I'll head into the garage with a Jiffy marker and draw a little S on the spoiler. This is why I bought mine in the good ol' US of A. Pd $53K, 53K miles, March/10. Some $$ has gone into it, but nice to know it has appreciated.

Mark, you were VERY lucky on that one I think. Those prices are long gone now - its pretty amazing but nice that we have cars "locked in" - its like owning real-estate in Vancouver, you just hang on for the ride!
Weissach asks stupid money for their cars, and funnily enough they seem to sell them - so perhaps I am the stupid one. Not sure, but at those prices, they are out of range for what I am wiling to pay!
I sold my under 30K 97 for $75K a few months ago. It was very clean with very mild mods and some paintwork but had a huge service history. I paid $75K for it four years ago.
As you know I am from Istanbul/Turkey. We have 2 mint condition TT s here which are on sale.. Both are '96 20.000-30.000 km range. One owner wants 120.000 € (white) and the other 140.000 € (grey). That means 155.000-170.000 $ if I were you guys I would never think of a second to buy one
Jd, looking at the market right now that car could fetch 77-79k. You did good.
Sethn, love to see that car!

I sold my 89 930 for $50K too. Paid $32K for it about 3.5 years ago. Put a couple of thousand dollars into it but that's about it. Surely sold for relatively big money because it was a fully doc'd OG paint 89.
