Current market
Been looking at a few 993tt recently with 20-35k miles. Assuming good condition, etc where do you guys see the maket right now?
It seems that the last time I seriously looked in '08-'09, they were about 10k less than the ones I am seeing.

The bad news for buyers is that the prices will be higher. The good news for buyers is that the high prices should induce a greater supply of cars on the market.

I can see this being the case with the lower mileage cars, but how do you see this applying to the cars with higher mileage? For example, say a 96 or 97 with 70-80K miles. Granted, this is not exactly high miles given the age of the car.

Even more expensive up here in Canada. There is like new wave of demand for 993s and of course the TT is at the top of the price range.

There seems to be a pretty healthy level of speculation in the market currently. If you look at actual sales, prices are not as inflated as they might seem from the optimistic asks currently out there.
For example, that silver/flamenco example in canada was bought from Copley Motorcars about 2 months ago http://www.copleymotorcars.com/sport...5.4vo1045.html
They were asking $68K for, so you can bet it sold for that or more likely slightly less to Weissach.
There is a Glacier White 97 with 22K miles on ebay right now. That car popped up on Autotrader 6 - 8 weeks ago, the second owner offered it for sale for low to mid $70s. It lasted only a day or two before it was snapped up by the current seller who is trying to get $85K for it as we speak.
Yes the market is strong especially for low mileage cars. Dealers don't seem to care and are willing sit on their golden eggs until the right buyer comes along (or the 90 day floorplan refi kicks in.) IMO 20K miles cars should be in the high 70s, 30-35K miles cars should be in the low 70s, 40K miles cars in the mid to upper 60s. The reality is that if you are patient, a car will pop onto the market at a fair price, usually from a private seller. You just have to be ready to make a move right away.

There's also the fact that an alarming quantity of 993's of all variation seem to be heading back to Germany, resulting in the obvious effect of fewer cars here in the states. During my search there were at least 4-5 cars I had interest in, that were purchased sight unseen & would ship back to Germany.

Congrats on your impending transaction!
I think you are spot on. Prices are about $10K higher than they were when we were looking during the Spring of 2009. At that time there were always 50-55 TT's (96 and 97's) available on AutoTrader. Lately there have been about 1/2 of that amount.
Also, don't be fooled by pricing on the low mile cars. Some of the higher mile cars have already have had the money put into "repairs-rebuilds" that will eventually need to be done on the lower mile one's.
Other features such as HB sport seats, wheels, desirable paint color, etc will affect prices as well.
