Great thread! I'm loving the different perspectives here. I've loved every second of my near stock turbo and will never get rid of it. Having said that, I've recently driven some NA coupes (Falcondrvr and Lreeves) and there's something really desireable about them. Like a previous poster said, having both would be ideal!

Somehow even with the striaght pipes, I might think the NA car still make the better sound - however what my car lacks in tone, it tries to over-compensates with decibels. I have invested quite a bit into addressing the issues that make Macca's ride more rewarding and connected - (wieght included 3150 w driver). I couldnt agree more with with the feeling that you can't get the true enjoyment out of driving it on public roads anymore which is why mine has a roll bar, race buckets, and harnesses and why I rarely drive it anywhere without a helmet anymore.
Mine is similarly set up, including the straight pipes (love the decibels). Not even registered for the street now. Track only.

Glad you like it!

I just have the newest version of Adobe Photoshop. I used the HDR Toning feature for that photo. Kind of cheating, but it can make photos look really cool. Definitely not as experienced with photoshop right now as I someday hope to be. I try though!

Hahahaha, thanks for the number plate idea. I tried to get one that read like that but it was long gone. I have to make do now with non Porsche people (and some Pcar people) asking what Zorro has to do with anything!
But, a 17 year old car enthusiast reckons he's had a TT poster on his bedroom wall for 10 years, and he worked it out immediatley! Very cool.
All I know is that i have to start saving/growing/pinching/pimping to get some $ and get my suspension sorted out.

Mine is the same.......K24's, gutted interior, straight pipes and no mufflers of any kind.................sometimes I think I should sell it and buy a Cup car and then I walk out to the driveway and find this poking out of the car-port and I fall in love all over again..................sorry to hijack 993MAN

Great 3d!
Sometimes I'm complaining about the cold weather in Germany, but I must say that I'm happy I can enjoy my TT WLS II on the autobahn once in a while, when possible I drive till I read 260 km/h on my speedometer, but doesn't take very long because the stress driving so fast and so close to other cars is to much.
ciao

The solution to the best of both worlds is my turbo VRAM running 7 PSI of boost.

I pulled slightly on a UMW stage 3 with Kevin's tuning at the track. We were both on 100oct.

It has all of response of the NA car without any boost hit. Very tractable power band.

Scott-- In the meantime, try celSyndey.com's "Photoshoot: Porsche 993 Turbo S:"

This one is extra special for me as it was my first official photoshoot of a car. I really enjoyed it and it created a big thirst for more!

During the second to the last year of production of the 993 (1997), Porsche offered the 993 Turbo S. Ultimately 183 cars were sold. The Turbo S is a high-spec Turbo including a power upgrade to 424 hp (SAE) for the American market and to 450 hp (DIN) in other markets. The inclusion of extras including carbonfibre decoration in the interior makes it different from the earlier lightweight, spartan 964 Turbo S. The 993 Turbo S is recognized by yellow brake calipers, a slightly larger rear wing, a 4-pipe exhaust and air scoops behind the doors. This was the last of the air-cooled Turbos.

Interesting fact: 12 Turbo S cars were delivered to Australia.
