He said he was making some changes, maybe thats one. Did you notice ill performance results as a result of the turbulence?

I really wished these were available as my tubes were a big mangled.

However, after buying a new set of orange topped tubes, I found that they fit very securely, especially with the t-bar clamps. I'm now on the fence on whether its worth it to upgrade.

Quad, you mean the reinforced ones that FVD are selling?

The answer is yes. The Standard Porsche ones with the Orange ends are the updated ones that are reinforced. Same as FVD sells.

If you use Breeze Constant Torque clamps, your rubber hoses won't pop off any more. They run about $3 apiece.
What would be the advantage of hard pipes then?

already installed torque clamps, but would like install a better hose system for the IC

What is your criteria for better?
Hence my original question, what are the advantages of hard pipes?
"Because they look bitchin" is a completely valid reason in my book, but I have issues.

the hoses don't seem to last too well. as couple of times on and off and they start to split
