Default New Product - Vortex Motorsport Hard Turbo Pipes

Vortex Motorsport is pleased to announce Intercooler Hard Pipes for the 993TT. These hard pipes are made of high grade aluminum, black powder coated for tough durable finish, and bead rolled at the ends to insure that the couplers do not come off even under extended high boost situations. The silicone ends are durable and allow easy and inexpensive replacement in the unlikely event of any damage. The ends also sit a little higher on the intercooler which means more clamping area and a better fit.

The factory tubes, even the orange end ones, suffer from being too flexible and the material for clamping too soft. The result is a tube the pops off even under stock boost conditions, and tears at the ends requiring replacement. Each side from Porsche with the stock tubes is over $200 each.

We are getting the first production units in within the next week. We are selling these for $750 plus shipping (we will ship International). The first 6 Rennlisters that order we will sell them for $650. Thanks all...

Those were just the clamps for the pic with an early non production set... But thanks Jean. I know I have wanted to deliver a set for a while to the 993TTs. Finally got some time and resources to do it...

Bob I know Ziad here wanted a set . Not sure if he is reading this thread but you might want to PM him.

These are the same material as the ones I have on my car, they work perfectly. As to the silicon color Vincent, it is very easy to replace, one can later buy them in a specialized turbo shop, typically Japanese cars.

Bob do you have any pictures of them fitted on a 993TT? It would be interesting to see the fitting.

Jean, I'll take some pics on the car (my partner has a 993TT that we were using as out test mule. It is also fitted with hybrid turbos, boost controller, etc. So we gave the tubes a good shakedown with a high HP car) and post later today. I'll send Ziad a PM. Thanks.

Just give me a buzz at the shop Rob, and well get you set up....

Is the inside of the metal tubes the same diameter as the stock hoses? If so, I'd be interested also, esp. the passenger side one.

Hi Jean, yes I was (desperately) after a set having got through +6 hoses in 2 years but unforutnately I've already got someone to fabricate some for me and expect to receive them shortly-ish-ish... Bob - excellent! finally, someone offers these hard hoses... If remember correctly, I saw at least 15 people or so who were interested in these pipes in a earlier post about the same subject...

Cheers

Good to know there will be other color options for the silicone ends. Blue would not look good with a guard red car.
