You are one blessed man. I love the kit on that car. It's unlike anything I have seen.

My pride and joy is my 97 Ruf Turbo R cab conversion done by Ruf Autotuning AS, Norway.

Engine (490+HP) is done by Ali Acarsoy who used to work at Ruf Phaffenhausen for many years before starting at Ruf Autotuning AS.

Reidar,

Very unique car - has Ruf worked on chassis rigidity as part of the conversion?!

I do not know, but it was a very thorough conversion indeed and it feels rigid. I have a soft spot for convertibles, and the car is mainly used for enjoying sunny days

Default RUF BTR C-4

As a new member of Rennlist I saw this site and thought id add some info. I own the "lost" Beddor RUF BTR C-4 I have owned it 13 yrs next month. It is the lone surviver of the the "special" RUF BTR c-4s made I have been told. I am friends with Steve Beddor and Alois Ruf and have written about the car over the years. My Ruf is a 3.8 with 468 SAE Hp single turbo with a still operating perfectly EKS I was also told its one of the few EKS systems still around and I love it. The car has the full built in Ruf roll cage, special adjustable AWD from a **** inside the cockpit, a special dash **** that when pulled, disconnects the ABS brake system, Ruf racing seats, wheels 8.5 x18 fronts and 10 x18 rears. The car has PW and air bag delete, It is a light weight wide body with ultra thin glass no insulation and does have operating A/C.
The car was raced at the Virginia City Hill climb in 1993 and set a record for a time. It was in the 8/1693 edition of autoweek. I drive the car everywhere when possible as I have several cars. I recently had it at Mt Washington with several S reg and R Gruppe guys. I will try and post pics later. Tkx jim f

Have no fear... I've been working with Jim to gather photos to post here over the next day or two. Meanwhile, Steve Beddor in the flesh has posted several articles there and would love to talk to some true RUF fans.
