Rickard, Stage 2 has been out for some time with programming (Mr Mandl)..
Stage 3 will be unveiled shortly.. This is a new engine package, that will include rods, twin plugged heads, camshafts, 100 cell cats, and new turbochargers. This package will be available with different tuning options for octane number AND turbocharger platforms K16 or K24..
Marty, basically the compressor wheel output typically represents my stages.. Higher output wheels = higher stages..

Tom, I don't give out compressor maps and never have. Ruf, Sportec, RS Tuning, Cargraphic, FVD, PSI, and probably many other's that I haven't named don't, don't give out the turbocharger information. The turbochargers in my various Stages have proven themselves.. If someone wants to call me or email and talk about HP and what they get, I have no problem answering questions.

Now you know I won't let you get away with that one. You should be providing customers with specs (ie maps) of what they are buying. That way they can make an informed choice of the different stages. Thats what all other turbo houses do. Why are you so secret?

Thank God we have very knowledgeable people in here, thanks, really.

When you talk to a guy like Todd Knighton (for example) he will tell you the super mysterious
compressor wheel output and come up with a plan based upon that
(and many other factors). I do not understand why such the mystery and
how one would know if they are getting what they paid for
Love the Corky Bell references and who on this board (other than turbo
builders) knows more about turbos than Tom (K24)??
Let me put this in simpler terms:
let say for example you were shopping for new turbos and Todd at Protomotive
said he could get you "X" turbos with a specific compressor wheel output,
and Kevin offered the Mysterious Stage 2 Z/C, tire shredding performance,
etc. etc.... How would one choose ????????????

Marty, like I have mentioned many times before, making large output turbochargers isn't difficult for me. If you want large turbochargers for your 996TT I'll sell you some of my Hyflow 2 turbochargers, and you can bolt them on.. It is the programming that determines the output of the engine. If you don't have good programming a well sorted Stage 1 package with GT1's will outperform a lessor system with larger turbochargers. That's why I have sought out to have one of the best Motronic tuners supply and tune for my turbochargers. The compressor wheel leaning up against the Hyflow 2 is a stock K24, for comparison.

Kevin, thanks I understand what you are saying, I was just trying to boil it down to
a "common denominator" for people comtemplating new turbos (like me).
The turbos pictured are K-27 based very large turbos!

So, Marty...What did you do with your 993tt before you sold it? I think you upgraded the turbos. Whose did you use, and what were the results? Does your experience shed any light on this discussion?

I had Kevi's stage 2 Zero Clearance turbos with software which was not meant for these turbos:
so the Turbos performance was not optimized. I had Protomotive 560 software (because my shop
likes Todd's software and had recently done the "Good Doctors Car". Protomotive's software was
written for Turbos with different mapping and actually worked better with K24 turbos. And according
to my research, the GIAC software was pretty weak (meaning not matched well to kevin's stage 2's).
Now Kevin has a complete Stage 2 package that looks pretty strong!, and I would highly recommend
a package that is made to work together.
good luck!
