Default 993tt oil backflow kit - UK Group buy

Hi guys,

Kevin put me in touch with a US based company (i won't say who in case it breaches advertising rules on Rennlist) who can supply the 996tt valves and appropriate lines for the 993tt.
This is to stop the dreaded oil backflow from the turbo sumps being lower than the engine, leading to smoke on startup (not the only cause of smoke on startup obviously).
In my case i'm thinking of it as a safety thing - i want to protect my turbos.

For any UK based listers, i am organising a group buy. They have offered a discount on 5 car sets. As such, with insured postage to the UK, i anticipate a cost of £200 per car set. This compares very favourably with the 500 euros (including european sales tax) from FVD, and Cargraphic and RS are even more expensive!

Drop me a PM or e-mail if you're interested.

Folk to make this work, you have to add the sump return lines, that have the built in "P" trap. Andial right now is the only company that sells them. If "Sideways" is packaging the kit with both systems for that price that would be great. However, both systems aren't worth %$!t unless they are used together. Why, because that is the way Porsche designed it for the 996TT to CURE the siphon problem.

Send the folks at Andial a email, they have the 996TT style sump lines for the 993TT.

Evan, you are saying that if I call Roger a Porsche Motorsports he will list the kit?

The check valves are a original 996TT that you can get any dealer.

If my new Ruf Turbo R doesn't have this kit, I'd be interested in finding out more about it. How much for all of the required parts, and how long an install time? Are the parts just the revised oil lines, or is there also a 996 check valve? Does Andial sell the complete kit?

Thanks,

In addition to the above requests, is the Andial kit sold as a complete installation for both turbos or sold separately per side? Is it easy to install?

I had both the 996 check valves/braided lines and the Andial return lines installed last spring, when I had the Kevin GT1 turbos installed. Turbokraft in Phoenix (look for ad in Excellence) can provide the check valves and appropriate oil lines for the feed side. Andial you know about for the return lines. Later, I'll look at what I paid for the parts when I find my records. I'm moving and things aren't readily accessible right now. It'd be easy to get quotes from the vendors over the phone. I don't have any affiliation with either of these vendors. No leaks, smoke or other problems so far.
