Jaime, Did you get my response to your email? I also sent you a PM, but have not heard back from you. I can not help if you do not reconnect. [email protected] 805-262-2414 Jim

    Hello there Jaime-
Question for you about and old, old thread (2005). You started a thread asking if you could fit a clamshell speedster cover on your 964 Cab. I am in the exact same boat, I just want to cover the "underwear" of the cab top, and I too am not satisfied with how the soft cover looks. Did you ever see if the clamshell cover would fit without removing the cab top and mechanism? I'd even be happy if I could manually raise up the top after removing the clamshell, if that's what it took to fit.
Any insight you can give would be helpful, as you are the only person I've come across that thinks exactly like me regarding my cab cover top "situation"

Hi Kirstin. I responded but don't know if it went thru. My appology if it did'nt. In case it didn't this is what I said:

Welcome to Idaho. In short, yes I do all my own work on my cars. I've not had good luck with the Porsche Dealer and so will not be going there anymore (if you want specifics I'll tell you). There is a guy that has an add on the local Silver Sage PCA, I thinks it's called NorthWest Motorsports. I've not gone there, might want to check it out.
I live in Eagle. If you are going to live close to Eagle, I'd be happy to help with questions. Hopefully I'll know some answers.

Are you still in Eagle? We just relocated from WA back to the Wood River Valley. We have a 1990 964 C4 Cab, and I am trying to line out resources ahead of time for when we need work done. Are you a complete DIY or have you found reliable people in the Boise area? Thanks for any recommendations.

    Kirstin

I'll be making my roll bar removable. I'll show photos of the install points in the future. It was drastically changed.

    Hi,

I suspect my 1996 C4S 140k miles has a worn VC as it exhibits a whinning sound. How did you go about replacing your VC ?

    thanks,

    Patrick
