60-130 MPH: New performance measurement!

Well said TB, I think this is by far the best way to compare cars across continents. I think we have reached a stage whereby most "extraordinary" factors can be spotted and the runs are sensibly accurate, factors like temperature can be accounted for somewhat, the ultimate goal is to be able to determine whether we are getting the performance and HP claims that we are paying for as users. We can still run drag calculations to be even more accurate. The silence from the other multiple AX-22 owners cannot be anything other than disappointment I am afraid to say, so much for science!
I have added a stock 993TT and stock 996TT to the graph. The numbers are a calculated best estimate, based on different sources. What can be seen here is that the fastest car on the chart is about 12 car lengths ahead of a stock 993TT after a 6 second run from a rolling 60mph.
Phelix, if you have the datalogs please feel free to email them to me and I can add them to the database. I would like to add that a "tuned" 993TT will have to execute one gear change more to reach 130mph from 124mph (200kph), typically it takes about 1 second more to reach 130mph from 124mph.

Jean post some data in meters;-)
I think I will borow your AX22 and make soem tests here. after 11 monts I finaly got the TÜV for my car and legalize the mods I have.
some rteal data for the 997 cup car 0-100 km/h (0-62.5 mph) 3.32 sec on a 37 degree day and track temp 47 degree celsius
0-60 mph about 3.15 sec
100-200 km/h 7,6 sec at 37 degree celsius
engine is NA with 400 HP and 400 NM torque
cars weight 1160 kg without driver

Konstantin, yes, glad David is ok as it looked very serious . You still have chances for the championship, just like "Shumi", time to call in Tim?
Congrats on the TUV! Great achievement and persistence.
No OT here, anything related to performance is welcome, thanks for the data,
Here is the chart in meters, send me the speed vs distance data from your Motec in a readable format if you can, and I will add them to the chart. I will send you the AX22 as soon as I am back from the US.

it needs 334 meter from 100 to 200 km/h and 7,34 sec
it makes 247 meter after 6 sec starting at 100 km/h and it reach 185,7 km/h
in miles from 60
it makes 185 km/h and 246 meter in 6 sec
gear changes in 3rd 4th 5th at 117, 147, 184 km/h
you see that they change the gear 1 hm/h before it hit the 6 sec
can you write teh distance they cover in 13.2 for the 993TT or 6,3 sec or for every car?

Great data K.
The 993TT takes about 550meters to cover a 60-130mph based on 13.2 seconds. I can extrapolate the rest of the data, it will take me a little while. For the stock 993TT and 996TT I will have to do some estimates.
So during Spa last year the 997 Cup did a 60-130mph in 7.49s whereas at HHR yesterday it took 8.45s and 389 meters.. Interesting, I am assuming same gearing for both. Also, this year the cars added a little guerney on the rear spoiler and that will take a couple of mph away I guess.
Thanks for the info. Bahrain earlier this year by any chance? Temps were about 40 degrees C on the track..

I would have to do a test from 60-130
but I do have a video of 20-120 8 seconds in my 911 turbo

Jean, as soon as get my motor back together I'll get some data from the ax22 for you. I've just been making some changes to the engine for more hp. Hopefully I'll have it back together soon.

Joe, good to hear from you. I hope you run against Bobby once your car is ready and you guys post some videos, that will be an interesting one. Please do post your AX22 runs when ready.
911T, that is a quick car you have, please post a 60-130 as well with some timing device please.
Thanks

Hi Guys!
Interesting discussion
We've done some datalogged 30-130mph days in our EVOs:
Vid of 6s EVO http://www.bhpcars.co.uk/mlr/nd-evo-9-brunters-2.wmv
And my Skyline on low boost (1.2bar/575bhp) takes about 13s, although it was wet, uphill and I wasn't really trying, but you get the gist

Rog,
Thanks for posting! This is excellent info. I wish you could extract them all with a 60-130mph...But this is great anyway. So your car was about 10 seconds 60-130mph..
That first EVO9 ran a 30-130mph in 6.19s with 1275kgs?? Can you post the graphs of the top 5 cars? Thanks for chiming in.

I'm afraid I don't have any more of the data...
The EVO IX is a bit special - it runs mid 9s 1/4s @ 150mph+
See http://www.norris-designs.co.uk/demo-evo9.htm and http://www.norris-designs.co.uk/video-evo9.htm
