Did not so no worries. The post was meant more for the uninitiated. I get their PMs all the time. Just noticed you are located in Jacksonville. I have business there twice a month but usually fly. Maybe we can meet sometime on one of my trips.

Three Wheelin'
I have owned several air cooled Porsches. I know there are inherit problems with higher miles on a 911/964/993. I think these people know what they have and they are selling them accordingly, or basically fire selling the. People are rushing to buy these so quickly, they aren't even worried about the expensive problems they might have. If it sounds to good to be true, then it is. Buying a car that quickly is only opening yourself up to a money pit. So maybe if you missed it, consider it yourself lucky.
i think that if a car has followed the maintenance schedule as Porsche recommends, the higher mileage cars are an incredible deal.
id rather pay $45k for a well maintained 160k miles car than $60k for a sub 80k miles.
but I may not have your experience on this...

If All things being equal.....WHY?! $45k for 160k miles well maintained car or $60k for a say 50k miles well maintained car.....I'd rather have the lower mileage car, all things being equal. Paint condition would most likely be better on the lower mileage car....and should be cleaner all-around...in most instances

Rennlist Post: There is a pretty common issue with valve guides that normally requires a valve job and guide replacement before 150,000 miles. Is the car a 1995 (OBD-I) or 1996 or later (OBD-II)? The OBD-II cars throw a check-engine light when the SAI ports get clogged... this is a problem on normally aspirated 993s (ie, not the Turbos). If its not a Tiptronic, then you must be concerned about the clutch wear. Another concern is steering rack leakage, which can occur on all 993 models. Belts, plugs, caps, rotor.... items such the radio, clutch and rack/pinion steering also can time out, so put aside some money. Suspension bushings, anything rubber, These include tires, alignment (very important on these cars), spoiler drive, spoiler relay control, sticky clutch pedal, 3 different HVAC servos and a heater flow vent valve/door, O2 sensor, head temp sensor, DME relay, front brakes, shift **** rattle, squeaky blower etc.Having recently bought a '95 993 with comparable mileage, I'd warn you not to make the purchase unless you have some padding for significant repair costs. In my case, the brake system, suspension, and steering rack all needed a complete overhaul within a short time period plus some little stuff. I bought mine in January of this year. I probably have put about $13k into the car in repairs, parts and labor.

They are hard to find....50k Mile 993 C2's for $60k (though not as hard as 964s), but they're out there. I picked up my 95' Midnight Blue C2 with 36k miles, extremely clean, excellent Paint, and Fully Documented History Book of Records since new late last Year for $62k.

i'm thinking $90+k. anything over 100k would be big money for a 4S.
