Haha that is definitely what it is doing to me. My only reason I can think of selling it that low is if you used 996s for comps.

These are scams - have you ever noticed how the price of these ads is exactly half of what it should have been?

Breaking news: my 1996 Carrera 2 with 126,000 miles is now worth as much as a 2005 Carrera S

That is at a different dealer in a different state. So I guess scam it is then, I will sleep better tonight knowing I didn't miss out after all.

no affiliation, I'm not a 993 owner or expert (my P-cars are an '87 911 Coupe and an '89 951 Coupe) but I am interested in 993s so my question this car looks very good to me
https://www.ebay.com/itm/1998-Porsch...ZZ612O&vxp=mtr

but it's been on e Bay for some time with Reserve Not Met and at a $50K bid, what am I not seeing?
Thanks

I'd be surprised if the reserve is less than $70K
1 owner is a plus. Color is rare but may not be everyone's cup of tea.
$70-75K assuming no issues.

Well for one it's a 1998 Porsche Carrera S Coupe "Vesuvio Metallic Package." Last production year of the 993 for one. Widebody S car. Very rare car... in fact like only like under 24 were made? I think Rudy has one on here. This car is no less than $90K. Just a hunch. If it is I would expect a COA from Porsche for verification spending this more coin for the car and it's rarity.

The seller rating is 66.7% that might be part of it. And the real bids come late.

Personally I would never buy a car off an auction.

thank you: jay 777, Gbos1, il pirata, I think this car will go for quite a bit more than $75k, as noted by Gbos1 it is rare 1/24, last year an S with factory aero, Rudy has one, etc. that was the source of my question why at a $50K bid with a day or two of bidding remaining? Yes, perhaps every bidder waits 'til 2 minutes left but I believe this is the second run on this car. I guess the 66.7 rating is a factor? Perhaps ask for the COA?. The VIN checks out. I bought a '87 911 Coupe on auction (e Bay motors) with no problems. Since the seller is 2 hours from me, a road trip might be a good idea? (pending approval of the wife)

I've seen this car listed on ebay for almost 6 months now and multiple times leading up to my recent 9934S purchase from cmab1 right here on RL. It closed several times between $76k and $79k range and didn't sell so something's up with this seller. Beautiful car and package just not sure it really wants to sell reasonably.

High bid: $50.1K. Reserve not met.
Strange the bidding went no higher.
