Even $95k is out of whack for a NB 993, despite 15k miles. There are a few low 20sK miles available for less than $70k that aren’t flying off the shelves.

Also aware of a 4k mile example for ~ $110k or so (don’t recall exact asking price).

Personally, I find more cars way mispriced on PCA/Panorama than anywhere else. I suspect these would-be sellers lack good, current market intel and are just hoping for a sucker.

Very low $70s without accident and probably low to mid $60s with.

Before you guys put these prices out there, I think a explanation of the "minor" accident, with pictures would be helpful. I have never seen anyone selling a car and saying it was in a major accident. The difference between replacing a bumper cover and being hit in front wheel is significant.

At Auction this car would bring $70 - 80K ALL DAY LONG. IF and I mean IF the Front End Damage was just minor.

Agree with Jim. Without more information any evaluation is really just a guess.

Default 993 targa

I like the Targa concept...

thoughts on this/anyone know or dealt with this dealer ... I want a drivable 993, no cab. (I WANT a C4s, but my budget stops hard at ~$60k)

https://www.ebay.com/itm/1997-Porsch...53.m2763.l2648

1997 Black/Tan Targa 2 with turbo twists, ?sport seats
~86k miles

NO RECORDS
"Minor rear damage" on carfax
Dealer rates care 7-8/10 (looks like a 7) but could be a solid car.
Whats a fair price? - I would definately get PPI before considering.

Default 1996 C4 Cab

Just bought a 1996 C4 Cab; Arena Red with Tan and 65k miles for $41k. 6spd, HIFI, 8 way seats, CD Changer. Looks very nicely kept and original. This seems to be priced really right for the market right now. Thoughts?

Just my advise..... If you REALLY WANT A C4S then SAVE SAVE SAVE ....This is what I did and bought the best one available at the time. It will be worth the wait!! I WOULD NOT TOUCH THIS TARGA WITH A 10 FT POLE!!!! NO! Asking too much $40K is more like it.... maybe. Good Luck!!

I test-drove this car on Saturday and wanted to have it checked out at my trusted mechanic on Monday, with a check in hand. The seller had to do a smog test anyway, so I wasn't worried about it being taken away. On Sunday, someone from out of state came with a trailer and bought it. I think this was a good deal, mostly because "buying the seller", I had an awesome feeling with him. That said, there was an accident to the rear fender when the car hit a guard rail 10 years ago and no history or information on that accident. I could not spot anything when looking at it, though.

I have never seen a manual C2 Targa for 40k in the last year or so. What makes you think it isn't worth in the mid 40s? I thought that Targas fetched a premium.

Well for starters Targas don't fetch a premium. Tiptronics take a hit... Manuals Cabs, Targas, C2, C4, C2S, C4S, Turbo, Turbo S, RS, GT .... Targas can have issues with their roof and can be very costly and so on. This car has 87K miles. Could need a Top End Rebuild who the heck knows what condition it's in. It's says no records so it a "PANDORA'S BOX." I would get a PPI if you are serious including a Leakdown and Compression Test on the engine. Top End Rebuild is easy $10 - $15K ...These cars are not cheap if you need to fix them but more importantly is you need a good Independent Mechanic who knows these cars. Just my 2 cents.

Bos- many here will disagree with your order. Be ready to back it up. Just saying...
