What happens when you underprice a car? It gets FLIPPED for a quick profit because the rest of the market is not dumb:

$54.9 new asking is actually a fair price, maybe actually be a bit low now w/ the top end rebuild.

Not cheap but looks like it's in good shape and had the top-end rebuild 4k miles ago.

True, but it's got these good characteristics:
53k original miles, 3 owners, Clean title no accident or damage reported.
All mechanical and electronics works with the car, AC blows cold and hot
-Engine top end rebuilt in 2017 (49k miles) (As you mentioned)
-Fister stage 3 exhaust
-GT2 wheel
-Bilstein HD shocks and ROW height
-Cocomats
Kept full service record since 2011, Have all the manual + 2 keys

Top End rebuilds as discussed many, many times are most of the time nothing more than opening up a clean long block. To add value to the car is short sighted on the overall picture. Not only “was” the block in question, but now you need to see who did the work. That’s a rabbit hole in itself.... Detracts value quite honestly for myself and known purveyors.
I’ve owned a few 993’s thus far in various state of tunes and not one has been opened up. Nothing to report other than the beauty of matching cosmo marks and no consumption between 3-5k changes (pending if a clubby or weekend warrior).

I was considering selling my car but I came to the conclusion that I'd miss it and I wouldn't be able to buy another one like it but IF I had decided the other way, I can't imagine I would have listed it prior to late Feb/early March.

I'm going to do my homework on this one but something seems "off" with a top end rebuild for a 95 (no SAI issue). Also, owner just purchased this car in early Dec based on CarFax.

Top Ends Rebuilds have nothing to do with age or time since production. Re-Seals are different. Only time you'll take the top off is for a cam replacement, dropped valve, solid lifters, dropped spring, floating springs, missed shift (much more in depth), or the not so common oil consumption if ALL OTHER avenues for oil ingestion are ruled out. It's not known widely, but these guys are in need of knowledgable people to time also. Not your run of the mill dial and set it.....

All I can say is in each case the engines needed a reseal which isn't cheap but after done tested perfectly on the mustang dyno to factory numbers, had impeccable leak down and compression numbers and did not burn any oil between changes. To this day still run without a weep never mind a leak of oil when done properly. BTW these were engines just north of 100k miles. IMO wait till a full rebuild is needed and just keep on top of the seals, unless damage was done and/or oil ingestion is an issue.
