The blue interior, for me anyway, is not a turn off. It's in fine shape, I didn't see any issues, and it seems to go well with the exterior color.

Shaking my head over the result of this one: https://bringatrailer.com/listing/19...carrera-4s-22/

But when you have potential bidders asking about 'What is a sound pad and where is it located?' This is what you get. Kudos to seller but for close to $88K landed at home......??

Better pics and presentation would have helped the price. A bit rusty (NorthEast car) for those low miles. Why not take off the engine cover for photos? Selling at Legend is not a plus. But some TLC will make this a nice driver.

About $85.5k w/ the 5% fee (before TTL and transport, if needed). The pics are actually average, I saw quite some swirl marks on the paint. Don't know if folks caught it, but one of the repair bills mentioned a rusty windshield frame.
Still, bottom line your conclusion is spot on. There looks to be a mini price surge for 993s.

My $0.02, that particular example did not merit that closing price. But I am happy to see the 993 market coming up. IMO.

Was watching this. Car didn’t look right to me and suspect. 50k miles is probably why it ended where it did. Probably have to sink a minimum $10k into it out of the gate to get things right. Not surprised at all. Photos sucked and car was not presented well. I am not a fan of Blue and Tan interior is the worst to take care of.

Thanks for posting this. Per PCar market, he paid $87,500 plus the buyer's premium back in April 2020. Only driven about 200 miles since then, with no additional mods or service.

I also have some information from an eBay posting in 2017, which is when I was looking at the car (which, ironically, was exactly in mid-August). The owner (or immediately preceding owner) owned the car for about six years. Then it seems to have bounced around several owners, none of whom drove it much. The mileage then, for which I have support, was just under 51k. Interestingly, one of these owners also bought a car from me (indirectly) and then sold it about seven months later. Not sure why none of these owners drove it. I did find more notes about my experience and I didn't see anything that led me specifically not to buy the car because of driving it. But I don't believe I was overwhelmed in a positive way. It was early in my 993 search and no 993 has met my expectations (re driving), even those I have purchased and I have bought some good ones. I don't believe I was keen about the yellow calipers (which of course are not PCCBs) and there may have been some sound system mods (like big speakers or something; I don't recall exactly). One of my issues then was wanting to sell another car I had.

If everything checks out, and the car can be had in the mid $80s, I would think it would be a fair deal on a car one could and should drive and not just park in the garage. However, even in the mid $80s on the bid, it's still high $80s out the door.

The 993 price surge continues... NBs are clearing in what just a few months ago are WB price territory.
The last few mins were thrilling to watch. BAT makes for some real-time excitement on pcar price trends.

The way this one went further substantiates the ego-romaticism of final minute bidding on BAT. The Winner just committed to pay another $15K plus at the end of this little end of auction bidding war between him and the contester. Car looks nice but $85K is wide body territory IMHO. This example is a C4 which only strengthens the argument. If you spend time looking at the traditional offerings online at dealers, private parties in a non auction format, $85K gets you a heck of a lot more car. You just have to invest the time and do your research. Even in here on RL with $85K you can take your pick. Good to see nonetheless. Kudos to BAT, they are printing it over there.

What happens now is all those WB sellers are adjusting prices upward.
Case in point: this car was asking low $90's a few months ago.

Unless the CarFax is truly horrid, what most likely will happen is a dealer snapping it up and flipping at $10k plus.
