Benefit of RB CCM Kit.
  • Affordable pricing.
  • Excellent option to skip your upgrade beyond pccb old technology that were offered for 996 GT3.
  • Connect your brake system to the latest CCM set up as Corvette ZR1 and Camaro S28 for the flexibility of disc and pad swap.
  • Low replacement cost on consumables (discs and pads), you can just purchase from GM dealers or online stores (Amazon or eBay) direct for cheaper price with more compound choice from other aftermarket.
  • Kit is built for DIY installation - Including SS brake exclusively developed by RB that eliminates OE rigid lines, brake pads also come with wear sensor connector.
  • Easy on going maintenance - RB's open top calipers allow you to change the pad w/o having to detach the caliper. Brake fluid change and bleeding will also save you frustration on our flexible lines.
  • Receive professional advice and service from RB*, before and after your purchase including our stock on CCM discs and pads for emergency replacement.
*We have been building similar CCM brake kits for GT-R, Mercedes GT-S, Camaro ZL1, Corvette ZR1 (Upgrade light weight hats) and Audi R8/RS5 etc. Under development are Porsche's, Ferrari F430 Scud. and Viper G5.

These won't fit inside 18" wheels...

What's the weight on the rotors and calipers?

Juha they have the weights on the 991 thread.

I think it's great that they've included the 993's in their line up.

I'm working on getting wheels made to clear these brakes, I started a thread also on the turbo forum.

I do too, but those are so much overkill for our cars

The GT1 size 380x32 & 350x28 would be all any of us need and they will fit 18"

even 350x32 and 330x28 would be fine for 99.9% of us.

The other issue is the parking brake, our 322x28 rears are just a few mm too small for 2 piece rears, apparently 330x28 2 piece w/ parking brake is where we need to be. I have some 993RS rear calipers that have been modified to be radial mount either that or some later radial mount Brembos would be needed to use the 3330 or larger rear.

As always the big concern is replacement rotors, especially for the track guys that go through them as fast as tires and brake pads.

I'm with Bill... 390mm is total overkill for 993s. Bragging rights for sure but performance wise you are giving up much more with going to 19" wheels than what you get from the bigger brakes.
With street tires or semislicks, the 993RS brakes are all you need (performance wise), you can only utilise the benefits of bigger than that brakes if you are running slicks...and whoops...they require 18" wheels.

So,
performance = no go
looks and bragging rights = HELL YEAH!!!

They are over kill but, I figure looking at the numbers, I may be able to loose 10lbs per corner which is attractive. And all the benefits of these types of rotors. These ccm rotors seem to be lasting reasonably in vetts and heavier gt-r's, and th ccm-x ? little longer.
I can get nt01's and r888, as well as Hoosiers in 19's that should work. I should be able to fit 235 or 245 in front and 295 or 305 in the rears.

They have options for iron 2 piece rears - in 322 (requires trimming pads, which may not be a bad compromise if you use different pads in the rear), or going with custom adapters on 350 rotors. They are making the hats so there's a number of possibilities for rings/calipers.

A friend just swapped the ceramics for iron on his 2016 Z06; the ceramics were starting to pit and flake. I remain unconvinced that any current ceramic rotors can handle heavy track use.

Neither does steel, rotors on tracked cars are like tires and brake pads, they need to be replaced often

Comparing ZR1 and ST discs for RCCB Kit:

ZR1 Front:

ZR1 Rear:

Comparing the Rotor Surface:

Comparing the Side (Front rotor) - ST on top

Comparing the Side (Rear rotor) - ZR1 on top

Some members inquired about the possibility disc upgrade to ST, and the answer is yes, as we have ST made to our specs which are the same exact mounting PCD and offset as ZR1 and they are in stock (as seen on pictures), so both ZR1 and ST discs are 100% interchangeable (can use the same hats)

We are also developing iron conversion rotor kits with the same exact dimensions as CCM rotors, so you can swap between your CCM and Iron anytime you like in case you don't want to keep CCM rotors on all the time.

ST discs are in stock. PM us for this upgrade option if you are interested.
