I started this morning draining the last of the gas out of the tank and removed the tank from the car. Next was a few hours getting the air box separated from the chassis and split open. The evaporator came out easy enough, but it was a crapped out mess of dirt and leaked compressor oil. My car has only about 55k miles and garaged always. I will have to take my time putting this back together and try not to forget anything. There is definitely a step by step process in the right order of assembly.

What are the tie-rod outers that you used? I don’t recognize those - are they for a stock wheel carrier or do you have RS?
These are for stock carriers. I haven't upgraded to RSR carriers, yet.
Here are the kinematic toe links: http://www.stableenergies.com/993-Ad...P-993-004-SET/

And her are the RSR tie rods. I can't find the direct link for ERP, but I'm certain ERP makes these and allows many companies to rebrand their products (BBI, Tarett (?), etc.)

Yes, I have the inners but I thought the outers only worked for RS carriers, so I’m using stock outers.

My suspension engineer swears by these and uses this system on all 993s that come through his shop for work. He knows more about suspension geometry than I ever will. I just smile, nod in agreement, and give him money.

It all works out in the end.

Very interesting and good to know thanks. Would love to hear your impressions once you get the car back.

Freshly rebuilt axles, toe links, inner/outer GT2 tie rods, bumpsteer adjustment, alignment, and finally a corner balance, and she's ready to rip around to local taco spots and race Honda Minivans again. Most of the new links are ERP Monoballs which is really trick gear.
I'm excited.
Should be ready by Monday.
This is relevant to my interests.

Did my annual oil change before winter sets in. Sadly only put 1400 miles on it this year. I am committed to driving more next season.

Replaced the lower valve cover gasket on the passenger side but was unable, after quite a number of various attempts and some fine cursing, to remove one stripped bolt from the cover on the drivers side. Will think on it some more, but may have to take it to a pro. When the easy-out failed, I was kinda out of options...

On the plus side, I also installed the 3-spoke steering wheel I picked up from Ilko a while back. I really like it!

(P.S. - Maintenance included cleaning the dead spider and his web from the center spark plug port.)
