Not a walk in the park DIY either. Good luck Mr Bock.

Did my first oil change today on my new to me 993. PIA compared to my 87. Next time will be a lot faster. Have to get a flat top jack stand. I had to leave the floor jack on the jack point and made a nice mess draining the oil tank.
993RS steering wheel tomorrow.

I snapped the eccentric bolt holding the kinematic toe arm to the subframe a few weeks back, so into the shop it goes for a correction. But once in the shop (E-Motion Engineering in Costa Mesa), Joey Seely suggested a minor overhaul and upgrades across the board. Freshly rebuilt axles, toe links, inner/outer GT2 tie rods, bumpsteer adjustment, alignment, and finally a corner balance, and she's ready to rip around to local taco spots and race Honda Minivans again. Most of the new links are ERP Monoballs which is really trick gear.
I'm excited.

A neat photo of my C2S w/ RS tail, sitting above a 1998 Factory RSR (one of the final five to be produced).

Should be ready by Monday.

So are they letting you take out the RSR as a loaner while your car is in the shop?

Finally decided to take the leap like many others before me and clean my wheel wells and exhaust tips cleaning up 20+ years of crud and cosmoline. What a difference a few hours per side makes but think I've lost a few brain cells inhaling breathing in Xenit the past few days...

While it does look very sanitary, I'm not sure how you replace brain cells! Perhaps a respirator would have been a good idea, prior to the start of the project?

You're right; I wore a simple dust mask and kept the garage door open but a proper respirator is certainly the way to go.

That's what everyone has been telling me. Sure as **** is expensive! But hey, I bought the car to drive, not stare at.

I didn't have $1.3M to leave as collateral in case I never came back :/

I built a crate for some pieces of it and then sent that to Portland.

Tell me about it. I replaced all the suspension pieces at once, including shocks and mounts. Every single piece. It was painfully expensive.

What are the tie-rod outers that you used? I don’t recognize those - are they for a stock wheel carrier or do you have RS?
