Not exactly today but I did a oil & filter change on my 993 and installed the Fister Golden rod along with the Short Shifter Kit (SSK) over the weekend. Beside the PSS10 upgrade, the SSK is a significant upgrade to the driving experience. Kudos Darin for A+ customer service.
Over the long weekend had Porsche classic radio installed and the original in-door drivers (totally shot) replaced with modern drivers. Installer told me ("Nokia made these speakers... Nokia should have stuck with phones" LOL). the PCCM screen is necessarily small but not too small to be useful. Quite impressed actually by the functionality in moving between audio sources and carplay, etc. In fact I would say the software/hardware integration with this unit is better than those in any of the 'new' cars I have owned over the past 10 years. Getting all this modern goodness in a 993 is very cool IMO.
After install of the highly intuitive to use PCMM Before, with the impressively unintuitive pioneer unit that previous owner had installed
Not a project but hope this counts. Drove out of town ~30 mi to a small town bar for a beer and some excellent battered deep fried pickles. Upon leaving I found a couple of dudes from the bar kitchen admiring the C4. Had a good chat with them, thanked them for the pickles; I think it might have been the first time they'd seen a 993 in the flesh. These cars bring real joy to people, and not just to the folks like us who are lucky enough to own and drive one. They need to be driven and shared, not protected like snowflakes. Preaching to the choir here I know...
