He's cc'ing the combustion chamber. When you cc the heads, you measure the amount of fluid in cc's to fill the combustion so you have an accurate volume of the chamber. If you need to adjust, you can remove a little material until they are all equal. The dye makes it easier to see.

The rootwood shift **** uses a set bolt to secure the ****, I believe the standard shift ***** just need to be pulled off.

Changed the oil and made up a "hands-free" IV for the refill. (Tired of worrying about filler neck overflow - which for some reason I often manage to cause no matter how patient I am.) Not this time!

A year and a 1/2 to get to this point and I’m happy to report themotor is built and timed! Excited to get cracking on the induction setup. Will be pretty trick all said and done.
Will make a thread this fall going over the build.
