drove mine LEGALLY for the first time in a number of years. Finally got everything up to spec and passed emissions in Georgia for the first time in quite some time yesterday. Trip to the tag office and now I am running and legal. Feels great.

Before and after headlight lens replacement. Wow that was easy! Totally justified my membership. Special thx to the 993 Forum for the online help getting this upgrade done. Now my fog lights look really bad. Is this another easy project or do I need to buy the whole unit? $$$
After I replaced my headlights, I followed the instructions in a Rennlist thread to upgrade my fog lights by replacing the glass and painting the inside silver so they fogs match the headlights...if you know what I mean.
I did the end of year dance with the annual NC safety & emissions inspection, registration & property tax mamba. NC recently passed legislation exempting 20+ yr old vehicles from annual inspections but not in all counties and mine (Wake) was not exempt. I fully expected the complete inspection and made sure the CEL (SAI issue) was off and all flags had been reset. Check. Took it over to the local Jiffy Lube on 12/31 and almost before I sat down in the waiting room, they were calling me up to pay my bill. This is never good. Long story short, I only needed the $13 safety inspection. As I was checking out, the Tech explained the new law and was a little relieved because the CEL came on during the inspection and glad it was not something they did.

Happy New Year all.
I know that feeling
I only have to do emissions one more time then my car becomes exempt in Georgia in 2022
FD motorsports golden rod, new cabin filters, bled brakes and clutch. Fixed hanging clutch pedal. New speakers all around. Next step is new third brake light assembly.

Always good to see another 993 in Raleighwood!
No SAI for me since I have a '95, but the less expensive inspection is still nice. Now if only the State would return the "Antique Car" designation back to 25 years...
