Default Wax question

Anybody tried Adams Buttery wax? Sounds like even if it's terrible on our cars it might be tasty on some toast!

Very religious topic.

I use Menzerna Power Lock, polymer based, lasts longer, and near Carnuba depth.

IMHO, Menzerna offers the best range of cleaning/correction polishes/sealants/waxes. Been using them for 8+ years on a Black 993.

I've been through alot of different brands looking for perfection, to each their own though.

Agreed. I've tried quite a few brands and settled on Menzerna. Love their whole line.

^^^^^^^^ I'd trust the guy that has been dealing with a black car for at least 8 years. :-)

Just curious, does one polish over the stone guards or try to avoid them?

Film manufacturers recommend against polishing film, but I've done it with good results. It definitely builds heat quickly, so you have to be careful not to cook your polish. But I've found you can restore some gloss to a hazed film.

It's all about the prep (wash, clay, and polish), not the final product used (wax or sealant).

A properly prepped car with Turtle Wax will always look better than a poorly prepped car with a final coat of $1,000 boutique carnauba.
