Default What color brake callipers for my 993?

So I have a lovely metallic black 993 C2, callipers are currently black but the lacquer is peeling off so will get them redone when it goes in for new pads and discs in the next few weeks.

Question is - what colour to get them? I'm quite partial to the green on the RUFs and the Yellow, any other suggestions with pics if possible.

Cheers

The possibilities are endless on these cars. Everything from green, yellow, blood orange, to purple have been posted here.

I would stick to an OEM color; red, silver, yellow or even stay black. More important than the color choice is the quality of the refinish. Powder coating is the best option but that requires full disassembly and replacement of the bits due to the high temp.

Agree with u7 ... easiest would be to just redo the clear coat (much, much easier)

Smile Keep them black...

IMHO, NB cars with stock Black calipers painted Red, look a little fake. In my case, if I were ever to go to Red, it will be with Big Reds. The downside is the expense for the calipers and rotors. In addition, these bigger brakes add more unsprung weight to the suspension, not a good thing.

But of course it's your car and your personal taste.

wheels are silver Turbo Twists, this is my car https://www.instagram.com/p/-G16Gphq...=thorneandrews

Was going to take professional advice as to whether the calipers are due a rebuild anyway, doesn't look like they've ever been done and the car is 22 years old so might be time. Hadn't thought about just getting the clear coat redone but may do that if they don't need a rebuild.

The Mexico blue on silver looks sweet, but yellow and red will really pop on your metallic black (sweet car!). Think about matching seatbelts when you pick a color. Red brakes and red seat belts on a black car always look right.

When I did my Targa, I used paint remover to clean all the clear away. The black powder coating was not impacted by the process. Wet sanded with 1500 grit. Then I bought the 1000 degree clear and stickers from Suncoast. Check them in this FS Ad I posted some time ago. I vote for stock color.
