Default A brake proposition....

So this guy contacts me and says he wants to pay me 1 million dollars to sleep with my wife.....oh wait, wrong forum

So this guy contacts me and wants to trade a set of Big Reds straight up for my "little" reds. I have 2 sets of standard 993 calipers in my hands so I ponder this for about 10 whole seconds and say Hell Yes!

I know what you're saying, "But Darin, Big Reds are overkill for the street...they're heavier than the stock brakes...the pads and rotors are more expensive...the smaller brakes are just fine...yada, yada, yada," but you know me...I never listen.

So fast forward 3 weeks later......
Big Reds are on! They do look a little tired due to some track usage, but hey they do fill the wheels up nicely.
So I start thinking about refinishing them and I decide to go a non-traditional route.....me, non-traditional with my ducktail and loud exhaust...go figure

I decided to go with Mexico Blue and I really like it!

Enough talk here are some pics. (This is the part where the purists should look away.)

I love them personally! I would have considered that over yellow when I did mine if I didn't have an Arena Red car. I think those might look best on a white car with mexico blue decal rs script!

Those look awesome!!! Nice job!!! I like the idea of a color other than red for big reds.

It reminds me a little of Bradford's Turbo:

Good deal! So what other mods are you going to do with the extra $998,000?

Nice work but the color on the calipers is not my cup of tea ... Maybe I am too traditional.

What did you use for paint? I HAVE to get these yellow ones off of mine. But my color choices are limited with the Chestnut Brown interior. Probably will just use the two new front reds, and clean up the rears to match close enough. Was amazing how discolored mine got after its maiden use at the track back in '05 or '06.
