I have a polished set for sale in the marketplace set up for WB 993's if anybody is looking. Open to shipping if you're not in the Bay Area. I love them but I'm going back closer to stock for a possible sale. Caps and new tires included. Just bolt on and drive.

This may be a silly question and Ive searched a bit on the matter. The look of the LMs is very similar to the e88s. What are the major differences? Why is one preferred over the other? I think LMs are 2 piece and e88s are 3? Thanks.

Correct,
  • Construction - LM's - 2 pc and e88s - 3 pc
  • Curvature of Rim Face - LM's are flat the e88 is more curved
  • Lip - Lip on the LM's are diamond cut and e88's are polished
  • Series - LMs are considered Road wheels while E88s are Race
  • Weight - Someone chime in here but I think the e88s are lighter b/c of the backmilled spokes?

Default Lightness

E88 is a very light race based wheel, weighs less than 19 lbs. each.

Quick question for all you LM guru's. Thinking about buying a set for my C4S in 18". The size that they have corresponding to the car are 18x8.5 ET 56 and 18x11 ET 56. I'm good with the 11's however I thought the fronts should be 8" not 8.5? Also, should I want to reverse mount the faces, will the fronts being 8.5" still work on my car?

Thank you in advance!

Derek

Hey Derek,

BBS used to make the fronts in 8" but no longer. They are now 8.5". Also yes, if you decide to reverse mount, the 8.5 fronts will be just fine. My HREs are 9" fronts and I'm still running a 5mm spacer with no rubbing. Btw, if you are considering reverse-mounting, you may want to take a quick look at my thread here when I was going to reverse mine

Hope that helps.

Thanks Edwin. Im assuming that with the 25mm rear spacers your installed longer studs? Or are they bolt on spacers?

Looks awesome!

Few questions....

a) What are the wheel specs?
b) What tire sizes are you running?
c) Spacers? Size?
d) Any fitment issues? rubbing

Thanks!
