OK..........video editing help time. I've got three files totaling 45 minutes of Quicktime video to upload. Went through Windows Movie Maker (Windows 7), combined them into the 4GB+ mess, uploaded straight to You Tube, then went to bed. Woke up this AM to a "video failed to upload."

Further, the video I saved to disc has no audio. I tried just importing/playing the first short clip in Movie Maker (without further processing), and no audio.

I anyone wants to help, I'll upload the raw files to Google Drive/equivalent and let you take it from there.

It's not great, but I think it gives an overall perspective of how the whole thing laid out.

Downconverted to a wmv file, so better than nothing. But given I didn't get any responses to the above post, not like there seems to be much interest.

+993^^ Great job, Ken. Glad you got the audio to work.
Enjoyed hanging around with you at the end of the show & catching up with friends.

Harry-- It was a blast meeting you with Rhino & so many other RLers!

It was great to meet you too (and always a pleasure to see Speedy in person)!

Very nice. Captured the feel of the day, however people viewing it should keep in mind that the video only covered about 1/3 to 1/2 of what was there.

Call out RLers' 993s, etc. on Ken's video. For starters:
  • "993 Row" in the concours judging at 23:10.
  • Three 911 Speedsters + Carrera GT @ 27:30.
  • Harry's Polar Silver beauty @ 39:05. My pics:

Please, this was not a criticism but a comment to show the event was really bigger and had other events as well.

Not seen things that I recall are a lot of 356 concours (I was in that section), the special vehicles on the hill section with the Singer, Patrick Motorsports car et al., the Porsche 918 showing as well as that static display, the interviews of people, Seinfelds 911 #1 and the his last 356 Police car, the RS 3.0, etc.

I think if one were to walk at the rate you did and cover the cars from at the extreme north near the highway and walk on to the extreme south where all the corral cars were meandering through it all then it would be a video much longer in length. There were over 500 cars.

If it helps:
  • Singer 911 @19:10.
  • Seinfeld's 911 #1 and his last 356 @21:30.

Everyone IS seeing the whole 43 min clip? I didn't accidentally post my trial 6 min one. I hope. Or double up parts 2 or 3 when I joined it all up. I should be ~6 mins (356 group to Early S group) + ~20 mins (Early S group through race car/special interest, then rest of concours) + ~20 mins (corral starting with Jager's.....and back and forth through everything else until I got to the bottom of the hill).

Or????? I'm on my phone trying to post here......

Suggestion ^^ Include a link to Ken's YouTube video in the next PCA e-mail blast

It's an inclusive 'souvenir' that took him a long time to produce & upload.
If one even exists from another videographer, I'd LUV to see it, too

Let's get the HD raw files to someone if there's interest in doing that. Then someone with talent can spiff it up with some audio, etc.

Make no mistake, the only time I spent on this (other than doing the perp walk with my camera on a stick) was going nuts trying to combine .mov files via Windows Movie Maker, and ending up with a whole video. As I appealed in the post above, someone clue me in on which product to use. I'm not necessarily looking for free, either.

Bottom line here was to just give a feel for the event as a whole. Anyone who has interest in a specific car--well, I'm sure there are many, many photos available from numerous sources.
