I think your best bet is going to be in the UK or Europe, there have been a few come up for sale across the pond over the years. As you would expect they don't necessarily pop up all the time. There were a couple privately imported into New Zealand and Australia, however the prices for those down there make the UK ones look cheap.

Probably your best bet: http://www.germansportscars.net

Although not currently showing one available, I'm sure he knows where more are located than just about anyone.

Good luck in your search! There aren't too many of us here who would not want to have a real GT2, regardless of its use. What a nutty road and track toy. Oh, FYI, Quadcammer likes to lord over the board and tell the enthusiasts here that there is something wrong with them for really enjoying and loving these cars, but clearly you've already figured out that you can spend your money in any way you want.

Thomas Schmitz of German Sportscars is definately your best best.

You could also try Wolbert Sportscars in Holland. There are few GT2's in Holland, Wolbert will be the first to know if one comes up for sale.

Try this dealer (no affiliation etc.). He had a silver low mileage street car about a year ago. The asking price was around $450k IIRC.

He probably knows the whereabouts of such cars in Switzerland.

Not to be a tease, but i recall a head mechanic for a race team tell me the owner has the last 993 GT2 race car off the assembly line still in the crate.

He told me in confidence however.
At the time i didnt know the real deal on these things.

If you are serious these guys are on your Rolodex already! You should also be talking with Freshner in Belgium? and specialists in the UK like Malton who will have a line on a LHD car.

I beleive there are two GT2s in Australia. One privately imported and the other an Australian delivered car.

The later just changed hands a few weeks ago. Superb condition.

Thanks for the leads everyone. I am following up with those I don't know, hoping something leads to something. Most of these dealers I already do business with, but Macca - I don't know "Freshners" in Belgium and can't find them through Google at all. Any contact info you might be able to provide?

I think he might be thinking of Freisinger in Germany?

We know of two customer GT2's which were sold in the last couple of years at Hexagon in London:
http://www.hexagonmodernclassics.com/default.asp
I think the last one sold, a GT3 comfort, black on black, changed hands for over £340k, the orange Clubsport was a harder sell at sub £300k I believe. Paul and his team there might be willing to contact the new owners to see if they are willing to part with their cars, a long shot I know but I suggest that you give them a call to register an interest just in case they might be available. Please mention that I sent you.

Don't know if this one is a conversion or not, doesn't seem 100% OEM.
