Thanks to all for the many comments. I am only interested in a GT2, although there are many other nice cars out there for sure.

I am well acquainted with all of the dealers mentioned, as I collect in this realm like a few others they work with. I'm hoping someone here might be able to connect me directly with one of the individuals who owns one (in the States or otherwise) and see if something can be worked out.

Appreciate the help,

Michael

If you want to buy one because you want to drive it, just get a high mile turbo and go through it.

If you want to by one to look at in the garage and play gordon gekko, then I guess good luck.

Quadcammer, actually it's neither one, but thanks for your very insightful advice.

I'm curious then as to what you intend to do with it?

Treat it exactly like every other car in my collection - drive it from time to time for the sheer pleasure of it and enjoy looking at it at other times when I visit my garage.

I responded as I did because I made a very specific post seeking any RL member's assistance in finding a car, not looking for an opinion as to what I should do.

Once again, if anyone can help with a lead, I would greatly appreciate it.

driving it and looking at it doesn't require it to be an authentic GT2.

All I can reiterate is that I'm seeking an authentic GT2, as my original post says. I have no idea what your ideas are or how they in any way help my search, but I'll leave it at that, as I am hoping this post and the replies can be productive for me.

There was a Blood Orange GT2 Club Sport for sale at Hexagon Classics in the UK last year. If you could track that one down, it would fit nicely in your collection.

Secretcollector, those are entirely fine reasons for seeking out a 993 GT2 - the drive is engaging and fun, the heritage is impressive, and you could look (stare?) at the car and simply enjoy it as industrial art. The recent price appreciation has not hurt, too. I will check on those cars I looked at a couple of years ago when I bought my GT2, and let you know if any are still available. Of course, none of these cars are in the U.S.

Thank you, I appreciate your follow up. Being in the US is not necessary, I can arrange proper importation.

i see them F/S occasionally in the English based P car mags, but I'm sure that most of them are RHD?

good luck with your search
