Yet another A/C problem

I'm not getting cold air out of the vents. Have checked the usual problem areas and all seems right. Replaced the right footwell servo and the system is fully charged. The compressor does not continue running after selecting one or both AC buttons. Does anyone have any ideas where to look next?

I don't know what you mean by usual problem areas, but there's several :-)
You could run a OBD check on the CCU to see if there's any fault codes. Both mixer servos and the fresh air flap are the ones that move the most and wear. Maybe the fresh air flap does not open?

After checking all the servos, I would check the "three level" pressure switch to see if this is the one cutting off the compressor engage signal. If so, there could be a too low or too high pressure in the system. Check my HVAC pages for details:

My problem ended up being a sticking flap and a servo which was cleaned and saved but my indy says get ready be cause it will happen again. Servos are around 100.00 used and near 300.00 new.

Does the compressor run at all? Mine would run for a while then kick off. Recharge got things cooler but not cold. Turns out the condenser fan fuse was blown and the condenser fan resistor was shot. Replaced both (with the help of a few threads here) and now all is well. Hope this helps.

Yes my compressor will kick on and run for 10 or 15 seconds and shut off. I know it isn't a fan resistor because I recently replaced it. I have to check the condenser fan fuse and see if that is a problem. I also am not getting a signal to activate the footwell servo. That though I believe is a CCU related issue.

Explain "the system is fully charged". Do you know high and low pressure? They are very different in a 993 than in regular cars. And I think yours is probably well overfilled.

The system fill was the first thing I suspected and had a shop service it so I am confident that it is correct. BTW Bobboinski, where is the fuse for the condenser located? I did a search but did not find an answer. Thanks

If A/C was serviced by a regular AC shop without specific 993 experience - see my thought above. 993s run extremely low pressures of R134 compared to regular cars.

I'm not sure if the above link will work, but if it does it opens a very useful thread that includes info about correct A/C system pressures.

In the trunk, toward windshield, third from the left (passenger side in this photo), green 30 amp.
