Getting there... Nice.

Maybe we already talked about this but what's happening with the hole in the roof...?

Giddy up!

P.S. Remember not to throw the S/C to the dumpster when that happens... I want it.

The SC has your name on it Petu!

We fitted the fender flares and the side skirts on the passenger side. It was definately not a walking in the park. We couldn't get the rear flare and the side skirt sit properly together. So ended up removing the side skirt and fitting the flare first with the bumber and the existing arch. Once that was done we fitted the skirt again and now the rear part looks very good, just like it should IMHO.

Then we got problems in the front; the side skirt is just too long. I don't know why but it is.
So we will cut the front part of the skirt and remove some length. Then the separate small front piece will be connected to the front fender to create a continuation to the vertical cut line on the fender itself.

And how is your project going?

I bought a set of BBS racing E88s in 10.5x18" and 13x18" from Viggo. The wheels should be here some time next week. I will paint the centers black.
I also ordered a set of Toyo Proxes R888 semislicks in 295/30/18 front and 335/30/18. Enough traction?

Thanks!

I still haven't been able to figure out where the front towing hook goes with the EVO bumper!?

Is the tub strong enough to take the load if I just bolt a thick plate on the front with a threaded insert for the towing hook?
I can see on this photo that there is some kind of thingy that bolts onto the tub.

Should be back from paint in 2 weeks we are pulling out the interior next week and shooting the half-cage too. I also just picked up new seats for the car too. Wheels and tires will be assembled right when I get the car back and a proper photoshoot will be set once the car is finished.

I'm crossing my fingers with trying to get my 4.0 running correctly and properly tuned. I would love to cruise around with 350+ whp N/A on tap.

Juha,

Put a back plate on the inside of the tub behind the tow hook location. I temp mounted the bumper and drilled a pilot hole to center the tow hook. I then removed the factory thread mount from the solid metal bumper and added a backing plate to it. My fully balanced crank just shipped so I can get my car off the ramps and get the pictures you requested. I have had my car up on ramps for 3 months now waiting on the RSR parts to be machined. Finally ready to get it going again. BTW I have towed using this and also used it to load the car with a winch in my race trailer. Works just fine.

The RS, Cup, RSR & GT2evo have a reinforcement plate on the inside of the trunk to spread the load of a center/tub mounted tow hook

Looks great Juha, what are you planning to do about the front side skirt where it meets the flare?
