Default Another Victory for my 993

Today I transported a four piece drumset, cymbals and hardware with room to spare. I am happy.

Neil Peart's drumset need not apply though.

That's a lot of work for one gig.

993s, Rush, Vans...and Ludwig.

You have impeccable taste!

I need a roof rack. I can barely fit one tire in the 993.

I have to adjust that bugger. It keeps drooping. It is kind of ugly. Not the most elegant solution for sure. I tried riding around without the front plate and got a $60 ticket!

Who's this Neil Peart guy?

My first kit was an old Ludwig set from the sixties complete with blue metal flake. Ever had the misfortune of playing with a bass pedal that uses a leather attachment to the beater?

The Clockwork Angels show I saw was very good. 993s and Rush are always in good taste.

...got a $60 ticket...XavierLaFlamme
With your turbo bumper, you could tuck the plate into your grill.

Michael-- +1 ^^ May prevent drooping & police tickets...

More info by clicking hyperlinks for my DIY details ~3.5 years ago on the "Rennlist/ PCA member's 993 SPEEDSTER" thread:
-2009's page five and page six
-March 2011's page 30, a summary for TommyG when he asked how to mod.

Good to see what MagDaddy, JPP, etc., have since done with Mike J's idea.
The following's from Mike J's "Sold the Targa" thread:

Looking to do the same. Thanks

My state requires a front plate, so I've studied Mike J's repeatedly.
Instead of cutting edges, I folded, then covered with clearbra.
[Caveat: possible that bottom should ideally be >12 inches above ground, & face shouldn't be angled. ...Add that to your endless mod list.]

Regarding air flow, no negative aspect, IMHO. IIRC, neither oil cooler nor A/C compressor are impacted in the center.
Thanks for an attractive option, Mike!

Shouldn't cause any issues - just fabricate a couple of brackets to attach to the lower grill a make sure the plate is at 90 degrees to the ground.

IIRC, that would appease laws of some jurisdictions.
