stolen 993 - beware, they are climbing in value
my 993 was stolen from my driveway a few days ago - if anyone sees parts with VIN WPOCA2999VS34L833, please PM me - I'm sure the car is either in a zillion parts or on its way somewhere in a container by now. These cars have climed in value lately and apparently they are now a good car to steal. Mine was locked but in a driveway that a tow truck could approach and abscond with the car without alterting anyone. I found some wire sheath on the ground, so I presume the thief(s) cut the horn wires to avoid any alarm sound.

Terrible feeling to have a car stolen. One time was enough for me!
Be strong when you negotiate with your insurance company. And do not settle for their 2nd or 3rd offer.
good luck!

First one was in La Jolla.
Not sure where OP is located. There are a number of P-cars in the Beach Cities however, so just based on density, it seems like the logical target environment.

yes, stolen from a beach city, and from my driveway, parked in front of my house - no photos, blue with new black top, gray seats, blue carpet, graphite shift lever and brake handle, stock stereo cassette/CD changer, and a not-connected SAI circuit (hard wired, not circuit board) inside the left and right fuse/disconnect enclosures.

got the insurance check for the car - it's interesting that the insurance company "buys" the car from you, just like you had a car to sell, you sign over title, hand over keys, and then you get a check. makes sense, but I'd never thought about it.
