Its a losing proposition for everyone but a very skilled paint/body and mechanical guy.
Even if you can get it all fixed up for $10k, then you still end up with a higher mileage 993TT with accident history, 2 full repaints, and a sketchy history. Thats a $45k car at most at that point.

Yup. Actually, the pictures came out pretty good. Its worse in real life.....

Update! I will have to leave the 993 forum....after a few months of searching I found this well taken care of one owner 1986 930....

Not sure how I missed this! Wow, that was a bit rough. If it were mechanically sound it would've been nice to beat the tar out of at the track or build a race car out of but I think you made the right choice. And that's a good looking 930! Congrats!
