Yes .. where Angels fear to tread! If you know what you're looking at, there's a LOT of pleasure and value in a well maintained higher mileage Porsche ..

I see a car that would make a good 2WD conversion and track beast in those pics.

Holy crap. You did the right thing. Looks like the prior/current owner was hauling lumber with his steel toed work boots in that thing.

Was at autotrader. Walked in several other stores afterwards and it seems the car has been for sale for some time now. Started at the high 40 last year and is down to $ 39 k now.

Update! I will have to leave the 993 forum....after a few months of searching I found this well taken care of one owner 1986 930....

Not sure how I missed this! Wow, that was a bit rough. If it were mechanically sound it would've been nice to beat the tar out of at the track or build a race car out of but I think you made the right choice. And that's a good looking 930! Congrats!
