Default FS: Arena Red 97 Turbo - 69k mi, $49.9

No affiliation but if you like Arena Red and Gray looks like it could be a deal!

I posted an assessment on the TT subforum

https://rennlist.com/forums/993-turb...50k-993tt.html

My impression from the sales droid is that they will probably be willing to dump it for cheap ($45K anyone?)

I like the fact that the ad barely mentions its a turbo ... you can tell they do not know their pcars.

ok, $10K glass-out respray .. so now we're at $55K .. didn't Mark DiPietro's black turbo just sell for $54K with perfect paint, sport seats, top end and turbo's done, new clutch, fister exhaust, golden rod and Short shift, Kineses wheels and new tires .... just sayin'
It seems nothing is free or even slightly discounted in the 993 Turbo world, you either pays the man now or you pays the man later ... or you find a solid car that has already had the work done :-)

Looks like that car has spent its life out in the elements. Very sad.

Earl Schieb can fix up that car for $29.95 "any car; any color". Oh wait... that was 40 years ago.

I bought Mark D's old car. It came with the original stock seats also. I can sell the sport seats for $3K and bring my cost basis down to $50.5K and offer to swap out for regular turbo twists plus cash for the Fiskes with another $1.5K into my pocket.

Comparing it at $50K now, this car looks like its still on stock suspension and none of the motor work and turbo done (worth $8K in my book). You can add all the other perks like 3 spoke steering wheel, LWF, clutch, toe links, receipts back 60K miles and other goodies then compare the two cars. Much different deal IMHO.

How much do you think Peter Pan bought this car for. Probably around 40k i would imagine.

Yeah, no comparison man ... you got a great deal on that car and glad to see it went to a Rennlister .. you are my new hero! Setting the benchmark for high mileage Turbo's for all of us .. What's amazing is that car changed hands three times since Mark and everybody has paid it forward .. it deserves a good loving long-term home now ..

The RUF PPI leakdown results came back ranging from 2%-4%. 4 cylinders are 3%. I believe there was an anidal 3.8 sold with 140K miles a few years back so I am not the high miler yet.

I may add a GTS to the stable for a daily in 4-5 years. The TT was asked by my wife to put it in her name so I will need her permission if I ever want to sell it.
