The miles are pretty low and the price is quite nice. There are a number of Rennlisters in the area that can take a peek if anyone has interest, I would think.

Looks like Classic Grey to me. Very common color with the Arena Red.

Who names a car dealership Peter Pan????

Hello,

I actually went to look at this car today since I work close by. It's obviously Arena red, grey interior with leather wrap on the dash, door handles, and center console. Took it for a test drive, and mechanically, it's very good. No shutters, clutch and shifter is very smooth (smoother than my old 993C2 for comparison). Power comes on very smooth and nice. No oil leaks, but the dealer did say that they had oil leaks fixed by a local independent repair shop. Check the carfax, it has failed smog several times.

The issues are with the paint. Doesn't appear to have any repaints from what I can tell, but it's got the usual minor rock chips on the front. There are 6 or so areas of concern with paint.

1. Hood: there's a quarter sized area on the hood that has the clear coat peeling off.
2. lower left of rear window clear coat coming off, which also runs on the rain rail channel up the driver's side, towards the front windshield. (odd)
3. Driver's door above door handle, a small area of 'wear' with the clear coat oxidizing
4. Door pulls have finger nail scratches
5. Passenger rear bumper to quarter panel area has a hand size scuff like someone slide a white box across it. (no dent)
6. Clear coat is worn off the brake calipers (not shiny anymore)

Overall, it's a decent car for its age. Just needs some TLC and investment by someone to bring it back to life.

Looks like a pretty good price for the car and mileage! Not sure where there is so much wear on the clear coat - that does not sound right. But i am sure, unless there are some major surprises, it will go quick!

Agreed that should go quick, they have def priced it well. Consider that is still the asking price too.

Unless it's literally a garage queen or true enthusiast owned, these cars will always need some sort of TLC, it's impossible for them to be cosmetically perfect given the age/mileage.

Unfortunately the reason for the smog failures could have been as simple as the readiness codes not being set. Of all the cars I have ever owned I am amazed at how hard it is to get all the codes set properly. I believe here in Cali if 2 codes(of the 6?) show up as "not set" the car fails. But I'm not 100% on that. Also, I believe the codes reset to "not set" anytime there is a disconnected/dead battery situation.

Here's a little more info from the saleman: PcarRacr, your comment mirrors what the salesman told me the indy shop that went over the car told him - that it was a code readiness situation. Supposedly, there were no other issues with the car: it was not dripping or seeping, and there was no smoking on startup or when running. Of note - there was supposed interest from buyers in both France and Germany. My worry would be how the paint would be matched, even by a good paint facility. Would it need a total repaint? It might be a "low" initial price to get into the car, but then there would be significant layout to return the car to a higher standard (paint, clutch, turbos, suspension, brakes, etc etc). The dealer mentioned coming down only a couple of hundred dollars, stating cars are higher in that area. Hope that helps.

Stopped by to look at this Turbo, today. It is sold and going to Germany. It actually was a really decent car, with what looked to be all original paint. It really had a lot of potential.Would have been a great driver.I had one just like it with 19,500 miles.Sold it,what the hell was I thinking?
