The hardest part is getting the Clockspring off. We succeded by taking the heater control unit CCU out for easier access. You must have the 2.8 Ohm resistor...I think I will end up with an extra. PM me if you want me to send it to you.

Okay, got it wired up exactly as other have shown above...still have an airbag light and have checked the resistance etc with a meter...all as it should be.
Do I need the light reset by a dealer or someone with a scanner tool?
Any ideas?
UPDATE...CODES EREASED BY MY MECHANIC 12 SECONDS The cause was turning on the ingnition before the resistor was installed and in proper working order.

Did you do like the above and turn the car on while it was disconnected? If so, likely a dealer reset or if you have the appropriate obd 2 tool. If not, did you use the right resistor? I have some left over from my delete. I can mail you one.

This is a great DIY.
I have all the parts to install the RS wheel on my C2, except the two male connectors. OP apparently got them from Oaklahoma Foreign. Seems a stretch, but I'll check Monday. Meanwhile... Per Barts comment... are these the right ones...

From the photos, seems the male component is what's needed (2 of them). Or, if someone has a better link/source, would be much appreciated.

Regarding the connectors... As I understand, finding and using those specific connectors, compatible with the existing female connectors would make this whole thing completely reversible with no wires cut.
So, I've got emails into Oklahoma Foreign, Easy Porsche, Pelican, and Partsheavan. If any come through, I'll give them a plug. Again, if anyone knows where to find them, please let me know.
TIA!
