Hello,
I just recently jumped on the 993 bandwagon and purchased a 95 C4. I immediately wanted to sell my prisitine 89 3.2 Cab but my wife has convinced me to wait until next year and make sure I make the right decision.
Having driven both back to back last Sunday, I have to admit that I'm unclear as to which one I will keep. I personally don't care for the cab look and really appreciate the 993 coupe lines, but I do love driving the 3.2.
The C4 paint and mileage, wear and tear is also higher than the 3.2.
Luckily, I can wait till spring to make the final decision (and no, I won't be keeping two, one will have to go).
Stay tuned...

You have a smart wife. Good advice to try the 993 for a while and see which you prefer. I think you should keep both. It's always nice to have a top-down option on those summer days and nights. (I know you said you will only keep one, just playing Devil's advocate
)

Both cars are nice. I don't have the luxury of owning two at one time. So I will keep my black 95 C4. Looks just like yours. Congratulations on your purchase!

Mileage on the 89 3.2 is 93k, the 95 C4 has 106k.
Could the C4 still have it's original clutch? I don't have records for this, put I do have paperwork for M030 european, Bilstein HD and Turbo Sways installed last year.. The PO had a 997 third brake light installed on the rear shelf and removed the basket handle/wipers.

Wait till you drive the C4 in anger, or in the snow/ice. My 95 C4 with 107kmi looks just about as good as my 50kmi C4S. Just give it a good detail, & clean/condition the leather it really makes a differance.
Yes, it may still have the original clutch, but chances are it's been changed.

I love my '84 "3.4" and my '95. When I want to drive a car with power, I take the '84.
When I want refinement, I go with the '95. Or A/C.
Seriously, they are both quite fun, in their own ways. And different enough to make it interesting. The '84 is the quicker car, only because both develop similar power, but my Targa weighs about 500lbs less, and has the suspension and brakes (and tires-R compounds full time) to go with the engine. But, the 993 is going to make strides in the suspension dept soon.....
