Geeze, not like I am dying here! Still will be helping out where I can - and there are others on the board who have gone deeper into the roof than I have. I am just likely to have a whole new set of issues to deal with!

Besides that, given the buyer is close by (about 6 blocks away), I am sure I will end up servicing the Targa - although that gets dicey when things break.

Cheers,

Mike

WOW! That 993TT is almost 997 mk1 GT3 price. It has CF interior which is nice.

The price for Turbos is really high for sure, and the prices seem to be going up. Lets see what fall brings to the table.

It still a $20K jump to a GT3, and I am not sure of the long term depreciation. I tend to keep my 911's a long time (8-10 years), so I am keeping that in mind.

Cheers,

Mike

Sad to see her go, it was a very well sorted out 993! Also a friend of mine just sold a SWEET 993 turbo in slate gray, it was AWESOME, very low mi, & clean.

I say pick up a normal 993, & also get the 550. You can't drive the 550 75% of the time, & the 993 can be driven 100% of the time. I have driven one of the 550's & love it. But the car is scary, you can so low, have so little tire, & very old school brakes. It's a fun sunny day, in light traffic car.

A distraction while the "right car" presents itself!

Sent me the details so I have some more reference points.

Oh man! My other '96 993 Polar Silver Targa buddy has left the building!

It's been great sharing experiences and work projects on our targas together.

I've been thinking about selling my targa but I still need to get the top all working correctly first. But if I did, I couldn't see myself in any other 911 besides another 993. They are just the most beautiful 911 ever made in my eyes.

It was beautiful! Greay exterior, tan interior, sport seats with crest, full CF interior, PSS10's, & HRE wheels. If I had the $$ it would be in my garage. I'll get a couple of pics for you.

Now, I know you didn't want black, but I know of a 993 Turbo with 18kmi on it for sale locally.

Well, for the right car I am willing to bend the rules - I have leads on local both black and Polar Silver. I know I do not like Arctic Silver - not enough depth. Black is possible for sure even if it takes all that extra labor to keep pristine.

Mike, see what you dig up on that local car. That car sounds out of my range though.

Cheers,

Mike
