Just updated my car with these 997 Carrera III's. Nothing fancy but I think they look very nice, and I like them much more than the Sports Design 18s I had on there. The five-spoke design makes cleaning brake dust a snap even inside the barrel. For those interested in the specs:
F 8x18 ET 57 225/40 Pilot Sport
R 10x18 ET 58 265/35 Pilot Sport
The rears stick out 7 mm more than my previous wheel with ET 65. No rubbing at all. Even 285s shouldn't be a problem.
Blah blah blah.....here are the pics
These wheels look much better on the 993. I had them on a 997 cab and they looked blah but they look really good on the smaller more curvy 993. Car has a nice stance too.

While the rears are outboard by 7mm more than the stock offset, the fronts are inboard by 5mm more than stock. I used 14mm spacers on the front to fill the front fenders as much as the rear fenders are filled.
285's on the rear would be an unlikely fit.
The Carrera III's look great on 993's. The spokes on MY02's are too slender for my taste.
Nice set of wheels you got there Jimbo Square-shouldered 285 tires may not fit, but if you want flush look, round-shouldered tires with some neg camber will do the trick.
