Agree. He has different size tires. I will likely need to wear out these tires before lowering to ROW

these are the original size from factory for a 05 997.

found them on craigs w/ 5000 miles on wheels and tires.

They are pretty thick. I need new shocks soon. Was going to lower it to ROW. Not sure if I can with these wheels and tires?

They look great!
Depending on tire brand/model and camber, the 265/40's may scrape the wheel arch. I bought my wheels with that size mounted and they scraped. (Car is lowered to ROW Sport -10mm)

The 235/40 on front may be OK, although it could potentially come in contact with the spring as the tire's sidewall will be about 1/2" closer to the spring than the 993 stock tire/wheel. The inside of the front tires may also come in contact with the chassis during a tight turn.

You'd probably have to bolt them on and drive around the block to really know what you're getting into.

P-daddy
Do they make these wheels in NB and WB? I like them and found a set , but they are from a 4s , will these fit a NB with 265 in the rear?

The WB rear wheels are 11" wide. That's what I run. You can't fit a 265 tire on an 11" wheel. Even a 285 tire looks awfully stretched on that wheel. A 295 tire on the other hand works great. But I'm not sure you can stuff something that wide in a NB wheel arch.

Ilko thanks for the info , but p-daddy's 993 is a NB and he has these wheels, I'm wondering what size tire he's using in his NB, I think these wheels look great and I'm ready to pull the trigger on a set but I want to make sure they are going to fit.

His rears are 10" wide, from a NB car. You indicated you've found a set from a 4S. Those are 11" wide.

Opo, my wheels are NB 10" wide with ET 58mm. I run 265/35 on them. Ilko's 11" rears won't fit a NB but the concavity is just insane.

Love the 5 spoke look on the 993's. I was considering MY02's but I like the substantial look of those Carrera III's.

That's the slippery slope that comes along with being a RL member. I got mine after seeing them on Ilko's 993. Post up some pics when you get 'em bro.

I'm always happy to help other people spend their money

Here's a shot of mine from the side of the car. I don't think I've posted this before, but I really like the looks from this angle:

And here's one showing the concavity of the 11" rear wheel:

I picked up a set, too. One needs a little curb rash taken out and I'm debating on refinishing them all in gunmetal grey. Thoughts of how that would look on my green car???

They really look great. And so does your car. Nice choice of wheels-tasteful. Look great on a 993.

Here's a pic of MY02 courtesy of a fellow RL'er, not Carrera IIIs in gunmetal, so you have an idea. I think they'll look great on your car.
